Store Set up Procedure

To enjoy a hassle-free and fruitful Online selling at Social Place, please ensure you the have the Prerequisites to Activate your Store:
1. DTI or SEC Permit 2. BPI Bank Account (to receive the payments) 3. Gmail or Company Email account (to communicate, receive notifications from the Buyer and Social Place Admin)

Ensure that your Service Category exists and if not Contact us to inquire before setting up your Store. Here are the available Service categories:
a. Computing & Internet Technology b. Construction & Engineering c. Creative & Design d. Legal & Financial e. Local Jobs f. Marketing & Content g. Medical & Wellness h. Training & Education i. Utility

Nature of Services that are Banned in Social Place:

1. Any Service which has long execution and maturation process like Insurance. Your Service Listing must be completed and used by the Buyer within 10 days after Payment.
2. Any illegal and immoral Service like Gambling, Prostitution, etc.. Any Service that can be used as disguise for illegal Service like Massage.
3. Any Service from unregistered Business and Reseller. You must be a direct service supplier.

STORE SET UP PROCEDURE:

1. Register your Business using the Vendor Registration Form.

2. Verify your Account by clicking the URL we sent in your registered email.

3. Wait for the Vendor Registration Approval email. If Approved, Login to see the Welcome Page. There are 2 types of Store Setup Procedure, if you click the Let’s go button you must follow Procedure 1 and if you click the Not right now button you must follow Procedure 2. We recommend to click the Let’s go button because it is easier to accomplish.

Procedure 1 using the Form:

Use below when you choose Let’s go button in the Welcome page.

1. In the Store tab, fill out all the fields. Write great content in the Shop Description. Upload the Store Logo and Banner by clicking on the Thumbnail.

a. Store Logo (required size: 500 x 500 pixels)

Click Thumbnail > Upload Files > Select Files button. Fill out the Title and Alt Text Fields for Search Engine Optimization like below.

Click the Select button.

b. Store Banner (required size: 1350 x 300 pixels)

Click Thumbnail > Upload Files > Select Files button. Fill out the Title and Alt Text Fields for Search Engine Optimization like below.

Click the Select button.

Fill out the Find Location field and choose the default location closest to your area. Zoom in and move the Tooltip to your exact store location. Ignore the data showing in the Find Location field as you adjust the Tooltip. If Map is not rendering, clear Browser cache by clicking Ctrl and F5 buttons simultaneously.

Click Continue button.

2. In the Payment tab, choose Bank Transfer and fill out the following fields:
a. Account Name b. Account Number c. Bank Name (we only allow BPI) d. Bank Address (branch only) e. Swift Code.

Click Continue button.

3. In the Policies tab, specifically Shipping, Refund, Cancellation, etc.. Only Fill out the Policy that is applicable to your service. Leave the not applicable Policy blank.

4. In the Customer Support tab, fill out All the fields.

5. In the Store SEO tab, for better ranking in Google and Bing search engines, fill out the Following.
a. For Store SEO Setup, fill out SEO Title and Meta Description. Limit SEO Title to 55 characters and Meta Description to 156 characters. Both items appear during Google Search so make a good sales pitch using your keywords. Put your 1 to 2 Keywords in the SEO Title and Meta Description.

b. For Facebook Setup, fill out Facebook Title and Facebook Description by copying the SEO Title and Meta Description respectively. Upload the Facebook Image (required size: 1200 by 630 pixels).

c. For Twitter Setup, fill out Twitter Title and Twitter Description by copying the SEO Title and Meta Description respectively.

Click Continue button.

6. In the Store Social Setup tab, fill out all applicable Social Media URLs for your Business.

Click Continue button. Finally, click Let’s go to the Dashboard button.

7. Set up the Shipping (click Dashboard > Setting > Shipping).

a. If you sell Only Virtual Service or intend to sell in the Philippines without delivery fee “Uncheck Enable Shipping”.

Click the Save button below.

b. If you intend to sell Service in specific Provinces, Radius Distance or by Weight, visit Delivery and Shipment Set up.

8. Set up the Store Hours (click Dashboard > Setting > Store Hours), check both Enable Store Hours and Disable Purchase During OFF Time. Set Week Off if Applicable. Make sure you operate simultaneously with your Physical Store. This is a must because it will affect your responsiveness and reviews.

Click the Save button below.

Procedure 2 using the Dashboard:

Use below when you Choose not Right now button in the Welcome page.

1. Set up the Store (click Dashboard > Setting > Store).

Fill out the following:
a. Store Name b. Store Slug c. Store Email d. Store Phone e. Shop Description (write great content for this)

Upload the following photos:
a. Store Logo (required size: 500 x 500 pixels)

Click Thumbnail > Upload Files > Select Files button. Fill out the Title and Alt Text Fields for Search Engine Optimization like below.

Click Thumbnail > Upload Files > Select Files button. Fill out the Title and Alt Text Fields for Search Engine Optimization like below.

Note: Do not change any setting in the Store Visibility Setup.

Click the Save button below.

2. Set up the Location (click Dashboard > Setting > Location) and fill out the following:

a. Street b. City/ Town c. Post Code d. Country e. State f. Find Location (input address, choose the default location closest to your area, zoom in and move the Tool Tip to your exact store location)

Ignore the data showing in the Find Location field as you adjust the Tooltip. If Map is not rendering, clear Browser cache by clicking Ctrl and F5 buttons simultaneously.

Click the Save button below.

3. Set up the Payment (click Dashboard > Setting > Payment), choose Bank Transfer and fill out the Following:

4. Set up the Shipping (click Dashboard > Setting > Shipping).

9. Set up the Store Social Links (click Dashboard > Setting > Social button), fill out all applicable Social Media URLs for your Business.

Optional Set up

1. When your Store are having holidays and need to temporarily close the Store, set up the Vacation Mode Tab (click Dashboard > Setting > Vacation Mode).

2. Verify your Store to show a Verified Vendor badge in your Store and all the service listing. Requirements to become a Verified Vendor are:

1. Business Website using own domain. 2. Registered email using the business domain name (change your email in My Account). 3. Social Media Pages linked to the Vendor Store. 4. Photo of Valid ID of the Registered Owner on the Business Permit.
Once all requirements are complete, visit Vendor Verification (click Dashboard > Setting > Verification button), check Prompt Verify, upload Identity Verification, fill out all the fields in the Address Verification and click the Save button
